Birbhum District Central Co-Operative Bank Ltd. started its journey from 29th December 1962, after amalgamation of four CCBs namely Suri, Visva-Bharati, Nalhati & Rampurhat. At present this bank has 16 branches with head office at Suri. Kabiguru Rabindranath Tagore and other renowned personalities played a pivotal role to establish the cooperatives as well as Birbhum District Central Cooperative Bank Ltd. in Birbhum. This bank is still playing leading role in Agril & Agril-Allied lending and has been rendering modern banking services and facilities to its customers as well as member societies at its level best even after its revival from closure period of 17 months in 2014-15 FY. The bank is going to become a model DCCB in respect of revival.

With the earnest efforts of some of the prominent personalities of Balurghat under undivided Dinajpur of Bengal, the Balurghat Central Cooperative Bank Ltd was registered on 25th March, 1915, to serve the interest of the local farmers of the area. The Bank was later renamed as Dakshin Dinajpur District Central Cooperative Bank Ltd. The Dakshin Dinajpur DCCB is at present a fully CBS enabled, RBI licenced Bank, catering mainly to the poor and marginal section of the population. At present, the Bank is providing almost Rs 150 crore crop loan to 35000 poor farmers and SHG loans around Rs 20 crores to 14000 women, for rural upliftment and women's empowerment.
The bank has recently launched a SHG welfare fund, for the welfare of the women under the SHG fold of the district.
Darjeeling District Central Cooperative Bank Ltd. (DDCCB Ltd) is one of the leading banks in providing services to the doorstep of rural people in the district of Darjeeling and Kalimpong. It initially operated only within the three hill subdivisions of Darjeeling, Kalimpong and Kurseong. Now it has started operation in the entire district of Darjeeling and Kalimpong. The Hooghly District Central Co-operative Bank Ltd, Netaji Subhash Road, P.O. Chinsurah, Dist Hooghly, PIN -712101 with Registration No. 32(HG) date 29.04.1966 has actually established in the year 1922 with the name Hooghly Co-operative Bank Ltd at its Office in a small room at the Chinsurah Court Buildings, Chinsurah, Hooghly.
There was another Co-operative Bank at Arambagh named by Arambagh Co-operative Bank Ltd. at the Office at Pallishree , Arambagh , Hooghly.
In 1966, the Hooghly District Central Co-operative Bank Ltd & Arambagh Co-operative Bank Ltd merged together to form Hooghly District Central Co-operative Bank Ltd on 29.04.1966. In the same year the Bank got license from RBI to carry on banking business in Hooghly District.
Tamluk Ghatal Central Co-operative Bank has been established in the year 1965. This bank was granted licence by Reserve Bank of India to carry on banking business in India on 02-08-1995. This bank is affiliated to The West Bengal State Co-operative Bank Ltd. Its banking operation is governed by the BR Act, 1949 (AACS), the West Bengal Co-operative Societies Act, 2006 (As amended) and rules there under and all operate under extant guidelines of the RBI and NABARD. It operates through 26 branches and 5 ATMs.
Vidyasagar Central Co-operative Bank Ltd., Midnapore is one of the largest Co-operative Banks in West Bengal having thirty eight branches in the three Districts viz. Paschim Medinipur, Purba Medinipur & Jhargram. It stands with a strong financial base of 40.04 Crore Share Capital, 2391.38 Crore Deposit and 1265.03 Crore Loans having 4.88% only as Gross NPA and 179 Crore Networth.
